Bengaluru/Madikeri: The Congress was quick to quell the news reports that it had put the candidature of H S Chandramouli, lawyer of Mehul Choksi, on hold for the Karnataka assembly elections to be held on May 12.
ANI had broken the news on April 17 by tweeting, “Congress puts Madikeri seat on hold after reports that the candidate H S Chandramouli had been Mehul Chowksi’s lawyer: Sources #KarnatakaElections2018.”
Refuting the claims, Congress spokesperson Jaiveer Shergill informed at a press meet that Chandramouli had no “personal relations” with Mehul Choksi, who is a co-accused in the PNB scam.
