Witness in Bengaluru serial blast case receives threat from unidentified caller

Madikeri: A man from Kodagu, who is witness in the Bengaluru serial blast case has been threatened by a unknown caller to turn hostile in the case.

The serial blasts that rocked Bengaluru has Muslim political activist Abdul Naser Mahdani, Tadiyandaveed Nazir and others as accused and Prabhakar M A from Iguru in Kodagu is the witness.

As part of the court proceeding, Prabhakar had been to Bengaluru as witness and on August 18, Prabhakar received a call on his mobile at about 10 pm from 9476558595. The caller who introduced himself as Safwan from Nadapuram in Kerala warned Prabhakar to distance himself from the case in which Abdul Naser Mahdani is an accused.

Somwarpet police have registered a case in this regard.

MLA Appachuranjan has demanded high-level probe into the case specifically given the backdrop that communal violence are on rise in Kodagu.
