Kushalnagar: A sensational claim, which may create more cracks in the first family of the JD(S), has been made by Prajwal Revanna, younger son of PWD minister HD Revanna. He has confirmed that the party leadership declined to give him a ticket in the Assembly election even though he wanted to contest.

“I wanted to contest. But for reasons unknown to me, I was denied the ticket,” he said while speaking to reporters in Kushalanagar.

“But even today I am ready to contest from any constituency from any part of the state. I’m not hesitant to enter even the Lok Sabha,” he stated but added that he would abide by the party’s decision.

According to sources, junior Revanna wanted to contest either from Hunsur in Mysuru district or the Hassan city constituency. “Party supremo HDD was in favour of giving him the ticket, but HD Kumaraswamy was against it,” said JD(S) sources.
