Madikeri: A case of theft has been reported in Kushalnagar police limits. A man has been robbed of Rs 5 lakh in broad daylight. The incident took place on Tuesday, July 2, at Venkateshwara Tyre Works in BM Road.
Shivakumar, a resident of Mutthina Mullusoge who was on his way back from State Bank, after withdrawing Rs 5 lakh cash, stopped at the tyre shop, to change the tyre of his two-wheeler, unaware that a couple of perpetrators are follwoing him. The miscreants took away the cash which Shivakumar had left in his bike before entering the tyre shop.
Reportedly, Shivakumar withdrew the cash to repay the loan he had taken for his daughter’s marriage. Shivakumar has filed a case with the Kushalnagar police.
