Madikeri: A resident of Madikeri was found dead in a lodge at Puttur on March 5.
The deceased is Purushotham (38), son of Kannandabane Janardhan.
He had booked a room here and Saturday, at about 9 pm, the lodge manager noticed that water was gushing out of the room that was given to Purushotham.
On knocking the door Purushotham did not respond.
On peeping from the window, the hotel staff found that Purushotham had hung himself to the ceiling fan using the hotel bedsheet.
The police was called in. The family of the deceased was intimated and on March 6 the body was handed over to them.
It is said that Purushotham was married seven-years-ago and had two daughters. In tragic turn of events, his wife and one daughter ended life, following which he had gone into depression.
He was later employed in a hotel in Mangaluru.
A case has been registered in this regard.
