Madikeri: Kotholi Mane Ayyappa Gowda, an ex-serviceman, who was in the forefront of struggle for sites for the ex-servicemen ended life by shooting himself at his residence in Chamundeshwarinagar on Tuesday evening. He was 47.
The reason behind his action has not yet been ascertained.
He is survived by his wife and two sons.
It may be recalled that Gowda had united the ex-servicemen under one roof to fight for government allotted sites for ex-servicemen. However, when persistent efforts met failure he had drifted away from the movement.
