Kodagu: It was only a couple of days ago that a young boy from Kodagu took to social networking sites to make his voice heard and soon his video went viral.

Abdul Fatah from Yemmemadu had come down heavily upon CM HD Kumaraswamy accusing the CM of neglecting Kodagu by not allocating enough resources for the district in the recent budget.

However, teenager Fatah was in for a shock on Thursday when the CM met him face-to-face and held a talk. During the course of the talk, the CM had promised that he would develop the district to the best of his ability.

When the video went viral, the CM had said that he would personally meet the boy provided the boy furnished his address but, on Thursday, when the CM visited Kodagu, Fatah and his parents came over to the Deputy Commissioner’s office where they were led to the CM.

HDK, who gave a patient hearing to the boy, said that Kodagu would be developed without fail.

Fatah said that he was extremely delighted to meet the CM who promised infrastructure and educational institutions for the district. “Our’s is a district that is largely dependent on tourism. But our infrastructure will leave the tourists disheartened. I spoke about these basic issues in my video and now I am happy that our CM heard me out,” he said.
