Somwarpet: BJP leader and Member of Parliament from Uttara Kannada Constituency, Ananth Kumar Hegde, who is also known as ‘Firebrand Hindutva leader’s is likely to court yet another controversy with his latest statement.
Addressing a gathering on Sunday, January 27 at Somwarpet, Hegade gave a clarion call to the Hindus to chop off the hands of anybody who dares to touch a Hindu girl with evil intentions.
Hegde then went on to launch a scathing attack on the Communists and called them ‘termites’of the society.
Calling upon Hindus to stay united and strengthen themselves, he said, “When an animal is offered as a sacrifice to Gods, it is always the naive and docile animal that is slaughtered. Strong and ferocious animals are not offered as a sacrifice. We should not land up becoming the scapegoats. We should be strong.”
Hegde is not new to controversies. It was recently that he had stirred a row by saying that the BJP is determined to change the constitution.
