Siddapura: While demanding Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to pay a personal visit to Diddalli to find a permanent solution to the problem persisting here, BJP State President B S Yeddyurappa told the worried tribals of Diddalli that he would bring their problems to the notice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi soon.
Billing off the move of the Forest Department of making an attempt to evict them, BSY during his visit to Diddalli on Tuesday said that forest department officers are acting like destroyers.
“The purpose of my visit is to convey the seriousness of the problem to the government. The state government must wake up to the situation and act wisely without any further delay. The government must provide sites and shelter to all the tribals living in the open,” he said promising his full support to the cause of the tribals.
“They have right to live on their land and they must be allowed to do so with dignity,” he said adding that it is duty of the government to provide them basic amenities.
