Gonikoppa: A BSF personnel who arrived at his native village to perform last rites of his father met his tragic end in a road mishap at Hathoor near Gonikopppa on Thursday, July 27.
The deceased is Bharimanda Thimmappa (47).He had come back home about 15 days ago following death of his father.
On Thursday morning, Thimmappa was heading towards his home at Kirugoor, when he overtook a vehicle and rammed into a bike plying from opposite direction. Thimmaiah suffered severe head injury and died on the spot. He was supposed to board his train to Chattisgarh to report to duty.
He is survived by his wife and two children. Case has been registered.
