Anurag Tiwari death case: CBI sleuths visit Madikeri to collect details

Madikeri: The CBI sleuths probing into mysterious death case of IAS officer Anurag Tiwari are in Madikeri to dig out details in connection to the case.

Tiwari, a native of Uttar Pradesh and a Karnataka cadre IAS officer was found dead on May 17, 2017 under mysterious circumstances, soon after celebrating his 36th birthday with batchmates and close friends at the state guest house located at Meerabai Marg in UP. His body was found on the roadside, barely 150 metre away from the guest house in the wee hours.

Anurag’s last posting was as commissioner, food and civil supplies in Karnataka. Since Anurag was posted as DC of Kodagu during 2013-2015,the CBI sleuths are in Madikeri as well. The CBI sleuths have been visiting places where Tiwari worked in various capacities during his career and are questioning the employees who worked under Tiwari, his gunmen and other staff at his residence.
