Somwarpet: A 32-year-old divorcee shot herself inside her residence, at her native Chikkara on March 9.
Soumya (32), daughter of Thammaiah, residing in Gowdalli Gram Panchayat (GP) limits took the extreme step at 3 PM in her residence.
Soumya obtained divorce 3 years ago and was residing in Mysuru, prior to her arrival here 3-days ago
Her brother Sharath noticed her battling for life and immediately rushed her to the government hospital in Somwarpet. However, she succumbed on her way.
Her body has been sent to district hospital in Madikeri for autopsy.
