Kundapur: A youth was killed after an unidentified vehicle hit his bike on Arate Bridge, NH 66 near Gangolli in the midnight hours of February 19.
The deceased has been identified as Vikyath (24), son of Ganesh, a resident of Gangolli. According to sources, he was on his way back home after working in a hotel in Kundapur.
Reportedly, the accident occurred at around 12.30 AM on February 19. A speeding unidentified vehicle hit his motor bike on the bridge at Arate on NH 66, and disappeared after the gruesome accident.
The Highway Patrol Police officials passing by the bridge saw a body lying on the road and immediately informed Gangolli police station.
The Gangolli police shifted the body to the hospital for post mortem. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
