Kundapur: The police here arrested the vice-principal of a nursing and commerce college located at Koteshwara in Kundapur on charges of sexually harassing a student on the campus.
The accused has been identified as Amar from Kerala. The victim is also reportedly from Kerala.
The girl student has also accused Deepa, a teacher of the college of destroying evidence in the case.
Sources said that, since March 10 this year, Amar has been sexually harassing the student using obscene language and also forcibly kissed her. He had threatened to rusticate her from the college if she would go to higher authorities.
The student claimed that he used to send explicit messages to girl students. Deepa, the college teacher had deleted the messages from their mobiles on the pretext of checking them.
The police have registered a case and have produced Amar in the court.
