Koppal: Turncoat politician H Vishwanath, who was instrumental in toppling the Congress-JD(S) coalition government, missed the MLC bus this time as well.
Speaking to reporters, Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar said that the senior leader will be rewarded aptly by the party in the coming days.
Addressing the media at Koppal, he said that the party high command has taken a decision and named the candidates. “We accept the candidates recommended by the high command. Vishwanath has supported us and we will never forget what he has done for the party. He will be rewarded in a better way,” he added.
“What has happened at the high command level does not need to be discussed, we abide by their decision and that’s all I can say,” he said.
Speaking on the issue of the Jindal company workers contracting COVID-19, he said that the workers have already been informed not to venture outside the factory. No one is allowed inside and the workers cannot come outside.
He added that the district commissioner is monitoring the situation.
“Companies like Jindal and others are difficult to shut down instantly. It takes six months to stop operations and another four months to resume work. Instead, all measures are being taken to contain the spread of the disease inside all the factories and officials have been instructed to follow up,” he said.
MP Sanganna Karadi, Amaresh Karadi and others were present.
