Koppal: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Tuesday has put a stay on the transfer order issued to Koppal Superintendent of Police Dr Anup Kumar Shetty.
As many as 18 Indian Police Service (IPS) officers were issued transfer orders on March 9 on the recommendation of the EC ahead of the state assembly election due in late April or early May. As per the order, Anup Kumar Shetty, who is yet to complete his one year in his current position, was transferred to the Intelligence Bureau of Bangalore.
However, Shetty challenged the order, and in a petition filed with the CAT termed it as ‘not as per norms’.
