Kushalnagar: During a raid conducted on a house in Sundarnagara, police seized a large number of explosives and arrested five suspects.
The arrested persons have been identified as R Manju, the owner of the house, and Mani from Sundarnagar, Kubera from Basaveshwara Layout, K R Ravi from Baichanahalli and Rizwan Ahmed from Halana Halli, Bettadapura, Mysuru.
After receiving a tip-off from reliable sources, alerting them about the explosives stored in the house, the police conducted the raid along with the bomb squad.
The explosives seized from the house contained electronic detonators, non-electronic detonators, aluminium nitrate, calcium hydroxide and a safety fuse.
The police are currently investigating the motive behind the storage of the explosives which are highly inflammable and dangerous.
