Kodagu: The state government has appointed Annies Kanmani Joy, a BSc nursing graduate, as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the Kodagu district. Incumbent DC P I Sreevidya is presently on a two-month-long leave.
Joy, who was the Tumakuru ZP Chief Executive Officer (CEO), was transferred as Kodagu’s new DC on Wednesday, January 30. She has been appointed to speed up the flood relief work, especially the construction of houses.
Presently, Kodagu ZP CEO Lakshmi Priya is serving as the in-charge DC.
