25-member NDRF team reaches Madikeri, to stay for three months

Kodagu: As a precautionary measure, a 25-member NDRF team has been deployed at Madikeri, the headquarters of the Kodagu district which witnessed mayhem during the 2018 and 2019 monsoons.

This team will stay at the Maithri Hall in the city for the next three months. The team jump into action in the event of any natural disaster that may occur during the monsoon rains this year.

R K Upadhya is the battalion commander. The team arrived with all the rescue equipment necessary for the mission.

According to the authorities, a total of four NDRF battalions will be on standby in Karnataka till the end of the monsoon season.
