Karwar: Family members of a lady, who tricked her to abandon her first husband and marry another man is likely to face trouble after her first husband knocked at the doors of SP’s office seeking justice.
The lady had married one Ganapathi Bhat, a resident of Sungasala in Ankola taluk on October 15, 2017, after falling in love with him, without the consent of her parents. However, trouble began soon after their wedding, when the lady’s family took exception to the wedding. The lady’s kin tricked her by convincing her to leave her husband for a while under the pretext that she could return to him after the proper wedding rituals and ceremonies were performed.
Obliging to and believing the assurances of the girl’s family, Bhat left to Bengaluru and rejoined work. Shockingly, the girl’s parents got her married off to Rajesh Hegde, a youth from Yellapura on July 19, 2018.
Bhat, who came to know about the wedding rushed to Yellapur and tried to talk to the girl’s family. When all efforts failed, he then visited the SP’s office to seek justice.
