Karwar: A woman who had entered wedlock on June 28 has gone missing from her maternal home, merely nine days after her marriage.

Sachin Naik, a resident of Baada, Karwar and husband of the missing woman Divya from Avarsaa, Ankola has filed a police complaint in this regard.

In his complaint, Sachin has said that their relationship was very cordial and they offered prayers in various temples on July 2 and 3. On July 4, the couple visited Divya’s parent’s residence for dinner. Here Divya’s parents informed Sachin that as per a tradition the newly married bride should stay at parents home for five days. Accordingly, Divya stayed back at her residence while Sachin returned to Ankola. On July 6, Divya went to a tailor shop and went missing since then.

Sachin alleged that a person called Dilan had called him stating that he had abducted Divya and if he made efforts to trace her she will be murdered
