Karwar : Two BJP activists were killed on the spot having met with a road accident near Haliyal on Thursday, November 17 evening
Sambaji Balram Sambrekar (37), resident of Mirashi galli in Dandeli and Idu Mavula Gowda (27) of Patoli in Joida are the deceased.
The duo were on their way back after attending the BJP Parivarthan Rally organised at Shivaji grounds in Haliyal when the bike in which they were riding skidded at Kesorolli village. Both the youth were killed on the spot. Over speeding is said to be the cause for the mishap.
Large and Medium scale industries minister R V Deshpande has expressed grief over the incident.
