Karwar: In a tragic incident, three persons who came to flood-battered Karwar with relief materials lost their lives in a road mishap on Sunday, August 11.
Mysuru ABVP leader Ravi Kumar, Mahablesh Hegde and Sharada Hegde from Byrumbe Surimane are the deceased.
They were on their way back after distributing essential commodities to the flood-affected families, when their pick up van collided with a car on the Sirsi-Yellapur State Highway, killing the three on the spot.
Their companions, Madhav and Shekar have suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment at a Sirsi hospital.
A case has been registered in this regard.
