Karwar: In a way, taking a dig at the sheer statement that Mangaluru is susceptible to ISIS connections, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies UT Khader has said that probe must be first conducted on the person who made such a remark.
“Why was he silent all this while and did not pass on the information to the police ” questioned Khader, while speaking to reporters on Thursday in Karwar.
Recently, Salafi leader Ismail Shafi had said that the Dakshina Kannada district has become a recruitment and training ground for the dreaded ISIS.
“What is Ismail Shafi’s background and what was the reason behind such a statement? This must be proved, ” said Khader adding that Shafi would deserve a reward if he passes on information that is not known to the police and intelligence department.
