Karwar: Alleging that a false and malicious campaign is being held against Minister Ananth Kumar Hegade, his personal assistant Suresh Shetty has lodged a complaint with market yard police of Sirsi.
In his complaint, Shetty said that a FB page named ‘Prajakiya’ has wrongly quoted the minister saying that if the BJP comes to power then Kempegowda’s statue will be pulled down and Shivaji’s statue will be installed. The post has been shared as well.
Shetty said that such posts will instil a sense of suspicion on the minister among Kannadigas and also disturb peace. He has clarified that the minister has not made any statements on Kempegowda so far, let alone negative remarks.
Shetty has also pointed that some individuals have threatened the Minister of dire consequences if he comes to Bengaluru, in the comment section.
