Gokarna: The management of Pai Restaurant in Gokarna has reportedly, decided not to serve food to the electorate on April 18 and 23.
A note stating, “Kindly stay at your places and vote for a new India considering the importance of elections” has been put in front of the restaurant.
Since April 17 (Mahaveer Jayanthi) to 19 (Good Friday) are holidays and the polling date is on April 18, followed by a week end, people might make use of the opportunity to go on a vacation instead of casting their votes. The election commission and other government agencies are doing all that they can to ensure a high turn out in the coming elections. The management of Pai Restaurant is contributing towards the same and has urged people to not travel on April 18 and 23.
