Haliyala (Uttara Kannada): In a heart-wrenching incident, four members of a family drowned in the river Kali in Bommanahalli of the village on Monday, December 17 evening.
According to the Haliyala police, who have registered an unnatural death case in this regard, informed that the deceased are identified as Dulu Dundu Gavade (42), Gayathri (9), Krishna (6) and Satish (7).
According to the police, Dulu Dundu Gavade’s wife, Rami Bai was washing clothes in the river while their three children were playing in the same. When they started to drown, Dulu Dundu Gavade jumped into the river to rescue them and unfortunately, all the four drowned.
