Karwar: The Coast Guards has issued an alert to fishermen along the coastal belt of Karnataka to refrain from venturing into the sea for deep sea fishing.
The warning comes in wake of a red alert issued after Surgical Strike 2.0
The fishermen from Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts have been asked not to venture into the sea and the ones who have gone fishing deep sea have been asked to return.
The first stage of high alert was announced in Kadamba Naval Base in Karwar couple of days ago.
