Karwar: In a tragic incident, an elderly woman ended life at the quarantine centre after her grandson was tested positive for Corona Virus, on Friday, at Dandeli.
The deceased is Lakshmi (62).
Her grandson had arrived at Dandeli from other state and was tested positive for COVID-19. Hence the entire family was quarantined at Dandeli hospital.
However, it is said that dejected by the development and also fearing that even she may be tested positive for COVID-19, the elderly hanged herlsef to death at the quarantine centre.
Dandeli police have regstered the case.
