Karwar: We have seen some unique wedding invitations bearing messages of environment protection and some others in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi prior to the 2019 general elections. Now, here is a police constable who is spreading awareness on cyber crime on his wedding cards.

Narayan, a resident of the Tilavalli village in the Haveri district, who is serving as constable in the Karwar district Cyber Crime Cell, is the policeman who has printed these unique wedding cards.

He will be tying the knot with Pratibha on December 12

On the wedding invitations, he has printed messages in order to spread awareness on how cyber crime occurs and how to prevent it.

Speaking to the media, the constable said, “Nowadays it is easy to fool people just by using an android phone sitting in a remote area. There are instances were fraud takes place through mobile phones when someone calls, pretending to be a representative of a bank and loots innocent people.”

“Punishing the culprit in the Cyber Crime division is not as easy as in other police stations. We need to struggle a lot to ultimately find the culprit. Even after culprits are caught, they have many escape routes. Hence, I have started creating awareness in schools and colleges. As out wedding invitations will be reaching many people, I decided to use them to alert the general public,” he explained.
