Karwar: Once a tender is finalised, the project should go on as per the conditions laid down in the contract and it should be completed in the stipulated time, said District In-charge Minister R V Deshpande.
Presiding over a meeting of the District Mines Foundation on Saturday, June 15, he also said that once the work was completed, the bills should be cleared within a week, citing that there was no shortage of money in the project.
Work in mining areas and other such affected areas should be done on a priority basis and it should not be dragged on indefinitely, added the minister.
The minister instructed DC to assign the rehabilitation work for the people living in the mining areas through the district level officers. The other facilities allowed under this scheme should be distributed through the MLAs, indicated the minister.
For all the works carried out under the project, a budget should be submitted soon and the approval taken said the minister.
DC Dr Harish Kumar, Zilla Panchayat Executive Officer M Lokesh, Zilla Panchayat President Jayashree Mogera, MLAs Sunil Naik and Dinakara Shetty were present in the meeting.
