Karwar: Kumta girl Naganjali Parameshwar Naik, who topped the state in SSLC examination with 625 out of 625 marks, was feted by Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegade.
He lauded Naganjali’s achievement and wished for her to continue to make the district and the state proud.
Naganjali appeared for the 2019 SSLC exams in which she was one of two to top the state.
The daughter of a retired Border Security Force (BSF) jawan, Naganjali is a student of Kumta CVSK High School.
The Uttara Kannada district, under which Kumta falls, came fourth in the state with a pass percentage of 88.12 per cent.
