Karwar: The Uttara Kannada District Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha candidate Ananth Kumar Hegde filed his nomination, here on Tuesday, April 2.
He submitted his nomination to the Returning Officer and Deputy Commissioner Dr. Harish Kumar.
Before filing his nomination he visited the Mahadev Temple located in Baad village with is family and party workers and offered special puja.
Later, he came to the BJP office located in Green Street of the city and from there, he left for the DC’s office.
Hegde was accompanied by his wife Shrirupa Hegde, former chief minister Jagadish Shettar, district BJP President K G Naik and lawyer B S Pai.
Hegde declares assets worth of crores
While submitting the nomination, Ananth Kumar Hegde has filed an affidavit declaring his financial transactions and assets.
He has declared his family assets at Rs 8.45 Crore. Hegde himself own assets worth of Rs 2.83 Crore in which Rs 25.36 Lakh is movable and Rs 2.47 Crore immovable assets.
He also possesses 100 grams gold worth of Rs 1.50 Crore and Rs 1.88 Lakh as deposit in various banks. He owns a vehicle worth Rs 9.61 Lakh and has invested Rs 5.90 Lakhs in different ventures. He has an insurance of Rs 1.75 Lakh in his name and Rs 25000 in cash.
His wife Shrirupa Hegde has Rs. 5.62 Crore worth of assets in which Rs 3.81 Crore is movable and Rs 1.81 Crore is immovable. She owns Rs 8.50 Lakh worth of gold and Rs 4.70 Lakh deposited in various bank accounts. She owns a vehicle of Rs 5.50 Lakh and has invested Rs 3.12 Crore in different ventures. It is declared that she has given a loan of Rs 45 Lakh and has Rs 55000 in cash.
Hegde’s daughter has movable assets worth of Rs 72836, insurance of Rs 65000 and Rs 7800 in bank account.
His son Ashutosh owns Rs 1.52 Lakh worth of movable asset, insurance of Rs 50000 and Rs 96000 in bank account.
Hegde also has a loan of Rs 1.27 Crore and his wife Shrirupa Rs 2.82 Crore.
