Karwar: The Karwar Police have lodged a complaint against 50 Congressmen on Monday, September 9, for creating violence and destroying public property on the day of Bharath Bandh.
An FIR has been lodged against former Congress MLA Satish Sail and other party workers Shambhu Shetty, Suray Naik, Macbull Sheikh, Anil Naik, Rajendra Anchakar, Maruti Nayaka, Sadananda Amadali, Krishna Mata Swathi Desai and Shashala Malshekar.
The police have filed a suo moto case under the Indian Penal Code Section 149 and slapped various charges, including disruption of the public harmony, disrupting the trade and abusing traders.
