Chikkamagaluru: A huge tusker was allegedly killed by poachers for Ivory in Bhadra forest reserve in the district.
Locals alleged that the huge tusker might have been shot by poachers involved in illegal Ivory trade. Environmentalists want the forest departments to probe the reason behind the tusker’s death.
Villagers of Lakkavalli, Beernahalli, Kundur, Ravur and Dod Kundur joined together and urged the department to find the exact reason behind the tusker’s death.
