Bengaluru: After getting promoted as the party national general secretary, tourism minister CT Ravi is likely to resign from the state cabinet.
He was recently promoted to the post of party national general secretary from the party state unit general secretary post.
According to the sources Ravi has been asked to serve as the full-timer and hence, he may resign from the cabinet.
He presently holds the portfolio of tourism, Kannada and Culture and is also the district in-charge minister of Chikkamagaluru.
A vokkaliga strongman from the Chikkamagalur district, Ravi is the product of Bababudangiri movement, which helped the party to strengthen its base in the Malnad and coastal districts.
