Chikkamagaluru: SP Annamalai, popularly known as ‘Singham’ has earned the respect of the people for being an extremely straight-forward officer. An incident that occurred in his office recently will now only make people respect him more by any folds because here the top cop had shown his humane side.
It is said that bread-winner of a family, a female Head Constable attached to a particular police station in the district fell in love with one of her colleagues and decided to walk away with him leaving behind her younger sister, who was completely dependent on her for living.
Even as the younger sister pleaded before her sister not to abandon her for the sake of marriage, the older sister was not willing hear the plea.
Since the couple was major and had all the rights to get married, the SP who was hearing out the case had no power to stop them. However, what he did was so touching that everyone who gathered at the office turned teary-eyed.
The two sisters, living in Chikkamgaluru had lost their parents long ago and soon the older sister became the support to the younger sister. Even when the younger sister said that she owed her life to her older sister and that she needed her, the latter was not willing to look back.
The young girl is still pursuing her studies and there is a long way to go for her to be settled. When any heart would have melted, the tears of the young girl did not reach the older sister. However, her tears touched the SP, who instantly stood up and decided to support the girl. The gentleman top cop promised the girl to support her education as much as she wants to study and also make sure she gets a job to make her both ends meet. The words of the SP have come as big solace to the young girl who aspires to study further.
Kudos to this police man who went out of his way to help a needy.
