No leaders care for bedridden BJP worker, alleges family-1Chikkamagaluru: A lady from Biruru, who met with an accident and subsequently became bedridden, has been completely neglected by the BJP leaders.

While one might be forced to wonder why the BJP must care, the fact is that the lady in question is not only a loyal partyworker, but is also Biruru Town Municipal Council Vice-president.

Victim Nirmala Rajshekar is a diehard fan of Prime Minister Modi and when Modi visited Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala about two months ago, an excited Nirmala darted to Dharmasthala to meet her political idol.

Further, the top leaders had made it compulsory for the party workers from every district to reach the PM's programme venue. When Nirmala was returning home after the programme, her car collided with a lorry leaving Nirmala severely injured. Two others had died on the spot. Nirmala had slipped into coma and was battling for life in a private hospital in Mangalore.

After all the suffering, Nirmala's husband now alleges that no party leader has so far paid even a courtesy visit to the hospital to inquire about her health.

An active member of the party is bedridden and she is now dependent on her husband for almost all activities.

She recalls her struggle for the party's welfare over the last ten years and sheds tears. " She had sacrificed a lot of things for the party. But today, in her difficult times there is no one from the party standing by her," her husband Rajashejar says adding that that he does not expect any monetary help from the leaders as he can take care of his wife, but what has hurt the family is the indifferent attitude of the so called leaders who do not have courtesy to even care for the party workers who are in distress.
