Chikkamagaluru: SP Annamalai has many fans but, here is a rather shocking incident, a man landed behind bars for extorting money from gullible people, claiming to be the daredevil officer’s friend.
The arrested is Pramod Karanth from Shivamogga.
He had been cheating people in the same manner by showing his photos with renowned actors, politicians and police officers.
It is said that he had told many that he is a professional pilot, but was left in lurch as his account was not working.
Nelamangala police arrested the conman at last after he eked out a considerable amount from over 20 people.
