Bengaluru: Heavy rainfall disrupted normal life across the Malnad areas of the state.
The worst-hit areas are the entire Kodagu, Sakaleshapur, and Alur areas and Hassan, Mudigere, Chikkamagalur, Sringeri, Koppa, and NR Pura taluks in Chikkamagalur, Hosanagar, Tirtahalli and Sagar taluks of the Shivamogga district.
The rain which started on Tuesday evening continued all night and today morning.
The IMD issued a red alert for hilly regions in Kodagu. Bhagamandala – Talakaveri road is blocked after a minor landslip.
