Chikkamagaluru: Everything was set for the wedding to take place and final rituals were about to begin on the wedding eve. All of a sudden, cops from Ramnagar appeared and whisked away the groom in the evening, October 15.
Bridal family in G Hoshalli had booked Jinnapura traders hall for the wedding ceremony. Bride from G Hosalli village in Mudigere taluk dreamt of next day’s wedding with Kiran, a resident of Yenekal village in Sullia taluk.
All of a sudden, cops appeared on the scene in filmy style and whisked away the groom Kiran from the spot where prior wedding rituals were about to begin at 5.30pm on October 15. He was present with ten of his friends and relatives at the Mantap, that time.
Shell shocked bride and her family members at the turn of events heaved a sigh of relief at the end. The reason being the groom, a nursing graduate was involved in the murder of an aged woman and Ramnagar police were on the lookout for the accused in connection with that murder case.
