Chikkamagaluru: The directors to the boards and corporations will be appointed after the panchayath elections, said Chief minister Siddaramaiah on Tuesday.
Speaking to reporters at Tarikere in Chikkamagaluru district, CM said that appointment of directors to the boards was delalyed due to elections.
Speaking further, he said that some of the developmental works undertaken by his government would leave a lasting impression.
When asked about reports that surfaced that state government had neglected the Veerashaiva community, CM denied the allegations and said that the investments to the tune of Rs 1.25 lakh crore had flown into the State during his tenure. A total of 2.5 lakh jobs had been created. The opposition is spreading lies in this regard, he added.
He further clarified that Home Minister G Parameshwara had been made the incharge minister for Chikkamagaluru, after Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Empowerment requested that he be divested of the responsibility of the district. ?
