Chikkamagaluru: The JD(S) on Sunday accused the centre and state governments of turning a blind eye to the problems of distressed farmers.
Addressing a press meet JD(S) State general secretory H H Devraj said that the farmers across the state were expecting state government to waive off the loans. Even the central government led by Modi too has been using farmers for political gains.
PM Modi goes abroad but has so far not visited a house of kin of deceased farmers. When elections are near, they shed crocodile tears seeking sympathy of the voters. We urge all 18 BJP MPs from the state to pressurise PM Modi to waive off loans of farmers in nationalised banks, H H Devraj urged.
