Mumbai: Prominent actor Kishore Pradhan who has acted in Bollywood and Marathi movies passed away at the age of 86, here on Saturday, January 12.

Speaking to one of the English dailies, Subodh Bhave, who was his co-star in the movie ‘Subh Lagna Savdhaan’ offered his condolence and said that after acting in this movie he couldn’t keep in touch with Kishore. Bhave has regretted that he was busy with the shooting while Kishore was unwell.

He is unaware of how Kishore died and could not contact his family as they were busy in preparation of his final rites.

Meanwhile, Marathi writer and poet Chandrashekhar Gokhale has taken to Facebook, remembering Kishore for his mimicry of Johny Walker and Jagdip.

Kishore Pradhan has acted in over 100 Marathi plays and 18 English plays.

His career began while he was pursuing his academics in Morris College, Nagpur. Having participated in several film festivals, he began his very own theatre group named ‘Natraj.’

Though his last movie was Subh Lagna Savdhaan, Kishore Pradhan will be remembered for his dialogue from the ‘Jab We Met’, in which he acted as a station master conversing with actress Kareena Kapoor on the screen saying, “Akeli ladki khuli hui tijori ki tarah hoti hai.” This dialogue still resonates in the minds of the people, who have watched this movie.
