New Delhi: Vasudev Devnani, Rajasthan’s Education minister has been issued a show cause notice for his alleged stunt with the Diwali cards having the recent “achievements” of the state’s BJP outfit printed on them. This came in direct conflict with the model code of conduct (MCC) which is in force with the state just about to enter the assembly elections. The election office of Ajmer district has sought an explanation by Tuesday, November 13.
This comes a week after a report by Times of India in which Congress leader and advocate Vivek Parashar filed a complaint against Devnani, alleging that printing the achievements on personal greeting cards was a violation of model code of conduct. After this, the election office in Ajmer came into play and sought an explanation from Devnani.
