New Delhi: Controversy looms over the Aadhaar programme like a dark cloud. A probe was initiated by the Department of Information Technology (DoIT) after around 5000 Aadhaar cards were found lying in a scrap dealer’s shop in Jaipur.
The DoIT secretary, Akhil Arora as informed that a team has already been sent to investigate the incident.
In a similar incident that occurred earlier this year in March, hundreds of original Aadhaar cards were found dumped in a well by the Yavatmal city (Maharashtra) volunteers who were cleaning it.
