New Delhi: Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi took up the fitness challenge, he has been receiving a mixture of responses from the people. While some have supported the PM, many have taken the chance to call him out for taking on this challenge while ignoring prominent issues in the country.
The latest to join the list of critics (at least when it comes to the fitness challenge) is actor-activist Prakash Raj, who on Twitter asked the PM to settle the issue between Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal.
Arvind Kejriwal has been sitting on a dharna, demanding a meeting with the Lt. Governor to discuss several issues, one of them being the strike by the IAS officers. Kejriwal, along with his colleagues Manish Sisodia, Gopal Rai and Satyendar Jain went to meet Lt.Governor Baijal a week ago and have not left the guest room of the Lt. Governor’s official home.
Prakash Raj, one of the PM’s most vocal critics, said on Twitter: “Dear supreme leader.. we know u r busy with Fitbit challenge..yoga n exercise..can u spare a minute and take a deep breath.. look around …and instruct bureaucrats to work with Chief Minister Kejriwal…(who is actually doing a good job ) and exercise your duty too..#justasking. (sic)”
Shatrughan Sinha, an actor-turned-politician, has also spoken out in support of the Delhi CM. He asked on Twitter, for the shedding of “arrogance/ego for the sake of Delhi and its people & work for a cause…..or else the famous song of yester years in the great & late Manmohan Desai’s film “Roti” may come true – “Ye public hai sab janti hai”. Lets address their genuine grievances before it’s too late Sir. Sooner the better. Jai Hind! (sic)”
