Varanasi: The Indian Railways has transformed one of the coaches of Kashi Mahakal Express into a temple by permanently reserving a seat for the Hindu deity, Lord Shiva.
The train, connecting three Jyotirlingas (Hindu pilgrimage spots worshipping Lord Shiva in the form of the Lingam) Omkareshwar near Indore, Mahakaleshwar in Ujjain and Kashi Vishwanath of Varanasi, has kept seat number 64 of coach B5 reserved for the Hindu God.
It can be recalled that on February 16, the Kashi Mahakal Express was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi from the Varanasi junction.
However, the train is expected to be fully operational from February 20.
