New Delhi: The AICC President Rahul Gandhi seems to be a little ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the race for the next PM’s post, according to a poll by the India Today Political Stock Exchange.
The poll conducted in the backdrop of Lok Sabha election to be held between April 11 and May 23, however, shows PM Narendra Modi’s overall popularity at the top with support 52 percent support, compared to 33 percent for Rahul Gandhi.
Among the Scheduled Caste voters, 44 percent are inclined towards Rahul Gandhi, while 41 percent want Modi as prime minister again, says the PSE poll. The poll also quotes an increase in the support for Rahul Gandhi by 10 percent among SCs since January. There is a dip by six percent in support for PM Modi, it states.
Among the Muslims, 61 percent prefer Rahul Gandhi while 18 percent of them are for PM Modi.
