New Delhi: Within three days of the ghastly Pulwama attack carried out by Jaish-E-Mohommad killing scores of CRPF troopers, a joint team of Indian Army’s 55 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF and Special Operation Group reportedly gunned down the mastermind of the attack in a fresh encounter in Pulwama, on Monday.

Kamran alias Ghazi Rasheed is the mastermind of the Pulwama terror attack which took place on February 14. As per sources, Rasheed was reportedly cornered along with two other terrorists by the security forces during the encounter that started around wee hours of Monday.

India Today TV report states that the cordon was laid in the area following credible inputs about the presence of some militants.

While several countries across the globe have pulled up Pakistan and asked the country authorities to stop being the breeding ground for terrorists, Pakistan had rejected the allegations.

It has said that it had no role to play in the attack and that the accusations levelled by India were only the country’s efforts to hide its own security and intelligence failures.

“These knee-jerk and pre-conceived accusations were rejected also because they were made within a short time after the attack and without any investigations,” Mohammad Faisal, spokesperson of Ministry of Foreign Affairs Pakistan, tweeted on Sunday.
